How many signals will you connect at one time?

60 2-wire ch

Up to 120 1-wire mux, 60 2-wire mux or 96 matrix cross points with DAQ970A (USB, LAN) or DAQ973A (USB, LAN, GPIB).

560 2-wire ch and 26.5 GHz frequency

Up to 640 1-wire mux, 560 2-wire mux or 2048 2-wire matrix cross-points with 34980A (USB, LAN, GPIB (LXI). 

What types of measurements will you need?
Variety of electrical and mechanical signals All models perform the temperature measurements common in data-logging applications. Other common data acquisition measurements include voltage, current, resistance, frequency and event count. Use the DAQM900A solid state mux model for faster switching time and the new DAQM909A Digitizer for characterization of electromechanical devices.
What kind of switching configuration will you need?
Multiplexer A multiplexer configuration is used for signal switching to a single measuring instrument. One signal is connected at a time to the measuring device, and the input is disconnected before a new input is connected.
Matrix A matrix configuration offers more switching flexibility by connecting multiple inputs, such as signal sources, to multiple outputs, such as test inputs.
Multifunction Multifunction cards provide a mix of digital and analog input and output.
RF & microwave Available for the 34980A in a variety of configurations.
