What sets Keysight apart?
Advanced Benchtop Digital Multimeters
What they are
Advanced digital multimeters (DMMs) go beyond our Essential models, offering 6.5- and 7.5-digit resolution for enhanced accuracy, reduced noise, and minimized measurement errors. These DMMs feature improved triggering and digitizing capabilities, with a sampling rate of up to 50k samples per second to measure fast-changing signals like a clock pulse in a high-frequency circuit or an unwanted transient noise signal.
Who needs them
Very general purpose. R&D engineers, manufacturing engineers, educators.
Target application/industry
Troubleshoot electrical and electronic problems used in design validation, single unit characterization as well as in manufacturing for functional and performance tests. A DMM can also be used in teaching labs.
Areas of growth
Expand business with the 7½ digit 34470A: Look for customers with higher resolution and speed needs, they usually need to digitize a signal to see the waveform, or sell into the low-end of the metrology business.

Pro Benchtop Digital Multimeters
What they are
Pro digital multimeters (DMMs) deliver 8.5-digit precision, exceptional DC voltage (DCV) linearity, and minimal internal noise. With a sampling rate twice that of our Advanced DMMs, it captures up to 100,000 readings per second, making it well-suited for high-throughput manufacturing environments.
Who needs them
Beyond power electronics and semiconductor testing, metrology-grade DMMs are also used for aerospace, medical, and research applications where uncompromising measurement integrity is essential.
Target application/industry
These DMMs are built for environments where even the smallest measurement error can have significant consequences, such as calibration labs, national standards institutes, or advanced manufacturing.
