 Do you need to make peak power measurements or average power measurements only?
All peak power measurement instruments can also do average power measurements, but if only average measurements are needed you can choose just an average power meter. Refer to the next page for detailed selection.
Average Choose the N432A, V3500A, N1913/14B, U2000 Series, U8480 Series or U/L2050 X-Series.
Peak and average Choose the E4416/17A, N1911/12A, U2021/22XA, U2049XA or U/L2060 X-Series.
What are the frequency range and the power ranges needed?
The power sensor used will determine the frequency and power level of signals that can be measured and whether peak power measurements are made or not. Refer to the power sensor chart on page 83 to help choose the appropriate power sensor.
